Vermilion River Adventures currently offers a variety of kayaks, mostly “sit on top” style, for our customers to rent. Most kayaks offer storage options, either in or on the kayak, as shown in here. Other variations include a tandem kayak (2 persons max 425 lbs) and youth kayaks (max 130 lbs). The Vermilion River around Pontiac is perfect for beginner kayaking with its typically lazy current yet also offers challenges for advanced paddlers. No matter your skill or experience, your safety is our top priority, followed by your enjoyment of the river. We do all the hard work of prepping, hauling, and launching, then you’re off to chart your own river adventure! We’ll then meet you at the designated time and place to retrieve you. While out on the water, you might enjoy fishing, bird watching, or just listening to the sounds of nature around you. The choice is yours!
