Book a RentalNot up for a full float trip? Hourly rentals let you enjoy the Vermilion River on your own terms. All rentals launch from the Pontiac Play Park on the near south side of town, which offers a boat ramp for easy launching.
From the Play Park, you can paddle southeast under the iconic swinging bridges, around historic Chautauqua Park, and out toward the countryside. When you're ready to head back, the return trip is conveniently downstream, so you can float with the current if you're tired.
With all rentals, we provide the vessel, paddle, personal flotation device (PFD), first aid kit, and safety training. We handle the launch and meet you when you're done. Your rental timer starts when you're on the water — not during gear-up or safety review.
These vessels offer excellent opportunities for birdwatching, nature observation, and fishing. Bring your own gear, tackle, and a valid Illinois fishing license if you plan to fish.
